From an early age, Austin has had a keen interest in technology, computers, and digital photography, all of which were a key focus during his high school years in northern Virginia. Coupled with a Nikon DSLR and a laptop, Austin quickly discovered how synergistic his interests were and decided to pursue a camera-focused career in the Film industry.
In 2014, Austin attended Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, FL to pursue a B.F.A. in Film. In those 4 years, Austin had hands on experience performing every role that it takes to make a successful film shoot come together on his classmates projects. With a focus on camera, Austin honed his skills as a Camera Assistant, Focus Puller, DIT, Camera Operator, and DP while also working as the departments Camera Technician and Equipment Manager during his Senior year.
Austin now works as a freelance Camera Assistant and DIT in the greater Tampa, FL area on Commercial, Documentary, and Corporate content.
